This blog post almost never happened. First day at Disney with half a roll shot, and my Leica R8 breaks down! I was probably the saddest person in the happiest place on Earth! Luckily, Craigslist came to the rescue, and I managed to contact a person who was selling a pretty banged up Canon A-1! Not knowing wether this camera worked properly or not, I decided to go ahead with the purchase and risk it!
Film cameras are awesome! I bought the Canon A-1 for a mere amount of $90 and look at the images it produced! This camera is about 40 years old, but still worked flawlessly! I couldn't be happier with the results!
Once you step into Disney, you immediately feel like you've been transported into an entirely different world. Believe it or not, this was the perfect opportunity for me to practice my details shots, haha! Every park in Disney is so perfectly rendered. Every inch of this place is so beautiful, and covered with the tiniest of details. It was so incredibly fun being able to shoot it all!
Basically, Disney is perfect.
Technical Info: All images shot on a Canon A-1 using a mixture of Portra 400 and Fuji 400h.
